How tuition and aid work

The school gives its figures at a visit and on the admissions page, so you never read an old one.

  • Tuition is set by the year and by the grade band a student is in. Books for the reading list and before and after care are billed apart. The figures are on the admissions page and are given at every visit.

  • A family pays an application fee when it applies, which covers reading the application and meeting the student. After an offer there is an enrollment fee that holds the place. Each is listed with its purpose in the program matrix.

    • Application: when a family applies

    • Enrollment: when an offer is accepted

  • Holding a place

A place is held when the family signs the enrollment agreement and makes the first payment, which goes toward tuition. Families have until mid-March to answer an offer. If a grade band is full, the office keeps a waitlist and calls families in the order they joined.

    • A waitlist runs in order

  • Billing

Tuition is billed by the year, by the term or by the month, whichever the family chooses. Autopay is set up with the office, which will go over it with you before the first bill.

  • Financial aid is available; here is how to apply. After you submit an application, the office sends an aid form. A small committee reads each form and answers when admissions decisions go out. Ask the office about state programs your family may qualify for.

    • An aid form follows the application

  • Siblings

A second child, or a third, is handled differently, and the office explains how when you apply. Brothers and sisters are read in the same season so a family hears about everyone at once.

  • Withdrawing

We ask for notice in writing before a student leaves, and the office will tell you what happens to a term in progress. If your plans change, talk to us first.

Ask about aid at a visit

The office will go over tuition, aid and billing with you in person.
